Sayadee spotted on the Moon.

Pictures of Delawar Hossain Sayadee's face on the surface of the moon have been circulating all over the country. Jamat-Shibir activists state that this sighting represents how God is upset with the decision of punishing Sayadee and hence he is showing his miraculous signs by imposing his image on the moon. How such an absurd lie even worked with the mass is unbelievable! This just makes us realize how backward our country still is, in terms of education and reasoning. Political parties are manipulating people by showing them photoshopped images of Sayadee on the moon, and they are actually buying! How gullible can our people be. No wonder the politicians of our country have been able to trick our people into buying so many of their scams over all these years.

At first, we thought this was a joke. A lot of user-generated images flooded social networking sites while making fun of the movement. It seemed so unreal that people were taking this seriously. But it reported that a lot of them were actually calling news stations to verify the information. Jamat-Shibir activists used this photoshopped image as a weapon, and indeed this weapon did kill. 19 have already been reported dead in various districts because of this propaganda. They call themselves an "Islamic" party yet they are going against everything that Islam teaches. Instead of protecting women and children, they used them as shields; they are fabricating outrageous lies amongst people about nature and God's signs; they are participating in the killing of hundreds of innocent people without a shred of guilt in them. People should refuse such people any amount of power. We need to educate our people first so they don't fall into such traps in the future!

The Shahbag Chapter

The protests that started in Shahbag to demand the execution of war criminals is going to an important part of history some day. It is a modern revolution like no other. Initiated by bloggers and online activists, there are thousands of supporters for this very cause irrespective of their political background. On 5 February 2013, the bloggers along with their supported started protesting at Shahbag which is now called 'Projonmo Chottor' (Generation Circle). More and more people join the protests as days pass by. Men, women, children - everyone is gathering and protesting day and night in order to receive justice. Justice will be served when the war criminals including Kader Mollah will be sentenced capital punishment for raping the women and children of the country, killing several people when the country was in turmoil and other heinous crimes.

This event is important because people are demonstrating their unity against the justice that will affect the entire country. It has been started by people from the younger generation, that not only constitute the majority of Bangladesh, but also are the future of this country. If they have decided to start this demonstration and have succeeded in at least being noticed, the country may be in good hands. But this is only possible if these student leaders and their groups start their own group against the political parties. They need a separate identity for themselves because otherwise, sooner or later, the current political parties will affect them. They will be sucked into the politics of Awami League and BNP that our country has been witnessing for years.
